Solid spike toe, slightly asymmetrical, tapers to widened panel at base above concave bottom. Lower wall flares to cylindrical body.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
SCA Fabric 1: brown with a tinge of red but fired golden brown at outside surface (2 mm); medium fine, hard; smooth to granular break; rare to uncommon, tiny to small, white to offwhite (calcareous and quartzitic) and red to gray inclusions; faintly micaceous. Surface well smoothed. Eastern Aegean-western Asia Minor.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves entire toe and part of lower body. Very slight abrasion and chipping around edges; slight to moderate, extensive film of encrustation.
