Wide flaring lower wall. Short solid spike with knobby toe, irregularly form. Faint spiral turning ridges.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric consistently fired reddish brown (2.5YR 5/4). Fine, hard fabric, smooth surface, has frequent silvery mica and rare to uncommon, tiny to small, subangular(?), red, black, and gray particles; rare sparkling bits (quartz?). Cf. standard LRA3 fabric from Ephesus..
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves entire toe and part of lower body. Slight, extensive abrasion and sparse pitting; worn breaks; one large patch and very sparse specks of encrustation.
