Cylindrical neck tapers to rim; ridging on extant upper part. Simple flanged rim with rounded to slightly pointed lip. High arcing loop handle, irregular circle in section, attaches broadly at rim.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Soft, slightly granular fabric, consistently fired pinkish orange (“red“), has rare, rounded lime chunks, some exploding at surface, and other tiny to small, spherical, mostly sparse but well-sported, dark red but a few light (quartz), sandy bits.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 17% of rim, small part of upper neck, and uppermost attachment of one handle. Moderate, extensive abrasion especially around edges; worn breaks; faint, small, scattered patches of encrustation.
