Description
Button or knob base. Solid toe, hollow at top inside, with collar.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Consistently fired brick red. Hard, medium fine; smooth to vaguely conchoidal break. Frequent, medium to small, angular, light calcareous and less common quartzitic inclusions; rare, very large lime chunks exploding on interior surface (two observed). Above toe surface has saline wash fired pale. Classic Tunisian fabric.
