Typological identification
Late Roman Amphora 2
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Micaceous non-southern Argolid LRA2 fabric. Slightly granular fabric fired to consistent brownish red. Frequent tiny glistening bits (quartz or mica?), medium angular dark and reddish chunks, small to tiny angular light inclusions, tiny dark and light bits. Surface worn but slightly lighter thin wash extant in places.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 10% of rim and small part of uppermost neck. Slight, sparse abrasion and pitting around lip; worn breaks; faint, small patches of grey discoloration.
