Late Roman Cooking Ware
Description
Cooking pot. Convex body; slight ridging below rim. Everted rim; upper interior face has two ridges and outer and lower faces are flat.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Granular fabric is greyish yellow with occasional small to medium, angular, light inclusions, some elongated; few embedded in surface. All surfaces fired brown with grey patches; frequent mica. Light brush marks on all extant surfaces.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 8-10% of rim and upper body. Slight, sparse abrasion and chipping along edges; worn breaks; scattered specks of encrustation.
