Late Roman Amphora 5
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Sandy, somewhat soft fabric, orange, with varied, frequent, tiny to small, subrounded to rounded inclusions, including small lime chunks and rare shell. Northern Palestinian: Caesarea.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves 18-20% of rim and small part of upper shoulder. Moderate, extensive abrasion and chipping around edges; worn breaks; scattered patches of thin film of encrustation.
