Late Roman Amphora 2
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Micaceous non-southern Argolid LRA2 fabric. Consistently fired red with a tinge of brown; oderately gritty, hard; granular break and somewhat rough surface; well sorted, small, lime particles; rare offwhite, gray, and angular black inclusions but none spalling; rare to uncommon small flakes of golden mica.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 15% of rim and small part of upper neck. Somewhat slight, sparse abrasion and minor gouging; somewhat worn breaks; scattered spots of encrustation.
