Typological identification
Corinthian Type A Amphora
Description
Single sherd preserving 1/3 of rim. Heavy horizontal rim, flat outer face. Fabric fired predominantly gray with thin pale layer near surface; coarse with many inclusions: frequent light and gray medium angular chunks, other frequent smaller bits, one large dark chunk exploding on surface on rim. Surface lightly slipped and pale.
