Description
Basin. Wide, cylindrical body flaring upward. Everted rim, rounded at end and drooping; interior angle thickened. Reddish brown slip over interior and upper face of rim.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Yellowish red, consistently fired; fine, slightly soft, smooth to vageuly conchoidal break; uncommon, small, lime particles and rare, irregular, red bits; rare, medium, angular red, gray, and white chunks. few inclusions. Corinthian buff utilitarian fabric. Thin, matte, brownish red slip painted in thin brushstrokes.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 10% of rim and small part of upper wall. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and rare gouging around rim; worn breaks; thin, sparse patches of encrustation.
