Typological identification
Late Roman Amphora 2
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Micaceous variant of standard LRA2 Southern Argolid fabric, with typical firing and surface treatment: pink fabric fired pale yellow with cloud of brownish red; uncommon, small, lime inclusions, rarely large, angular chunks spalling; thin wash shows swirls of smoothing around handle; faint turning grooves on exterior rim.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 33% of sherd and middle to upper neck with small part of upper handle attachment. Slight, sparse abrasion and scratching around lip and edges; somewhat worn breaks; surface otherwise in good condition.
