Description
Wheelmade. Circular outline. Somewhat thin wall has biconical profile but high sloping shoulder to vertical rim. Slightly raised, slightly concave base.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 2.5YR 6/6, light red. Slip: 2.5YR 5/6. Athenian fabric: fine, hard, with very rare, very small, subrounded black and gray inclusions and small, rare, subrounded voids. Slip: fine, dull, even slip everywhere on inside.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves small part of one wall and one third of base. Slight to moderate, somewhat sparse abrasion and pitting; worn edges; slight to moderate, somewhat extensive encrustation. Slight secondary scorching across bottom.
