Amphora with tall, straight flaring rim, somewhat triangular profile that is outwardly thickened with point rim; wide groove below lip on interior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine, somewhat soft fabric, smooth to hackly break, fired to very consistent reddish brown with occasional tiny light inclusions, fewer tiny reddish, and rare small to medium, subrounded, gray and light (calcareous?) chunks, some spalled from surface. Surface thinly washed and identical in color to fabric.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds preserve 45% of rim, part of upper neck, and one handle stub. Moderate, extensive abrasion and minor pitting; worn breaks.
