Typological identification
Late Roman Amphora 2
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Standard LRA2 Southern Argolid fabric, firing, and surface treatment: pale pink fabric fired yellowed at surfaces (1-2 mm); uncommon to common, medium, subangular and angular inclusions, poorly sorted, including mostly lime chunks but also rare gray stoney pieces, few spalling; faint turning grooves and scratches on exterior rim.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 25% of rim and small part of uppermost neck. Very slight, sparse abrasion; mostly clean breaks; faint cloud of white discoloration (incipient encrustation?)
