Large bowl or basin. Plain, flat bottom with sharp transition to wall. Wide flaring, slightly curved lower wall. Slipped on interior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale brown fabric, consistently fired; hard, somewhat fine, smooth break; surface is pimply; rare, small, subrounded, lime bits and uncommon, poorly sorted, small, yellow(?) and brown to gray, subangular bits. Faint turning marks on both surfaces. Somewhat thick, even, matte slip, brown with a tinge of purple. Faint turning marks on interior and exterior.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 15% of base and lower wall. Very sparse, slight abrasion and chipping; mostly clean breaks; sparse film of encrustation.
