Description
Large bowl or basin. Flat bottom. Wide flaring, slightly curved lower wall.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale brown fabric, consistently fired; hard, somewhat fine, smooth break; surface is pimply; rare, small, subrounded, lime bits and uncommon, poorly sorted, small, yellow(?) and brown to gray, subangular bits. Faint turning marks on both surfaces. Somewhat thick, even, matte slip, brown with a tinge of purple, on interior. Faint turning marks on interior and exterior.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 15% of base and lower wall. Very sparse, slight abrasion and chipping; mostly clean breaks; sparse film of encrustation.
