Typological identification comment
Africana 2-3A/B (3rd-4th cs.)
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Red brick fabric, fired to slightly more brown at surface; medium coarse, hard; slightly granular to slightly conchoidal break; common, small, rounded, white and red inclusions (some quartzitic). Thin but even saline wash, fired very pale yellow or cream. Classic Tunisian.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves one upper handle and attachment to neck. Slight to moderate, somewhat sparse abrasion; worn breaks; thin, discontinuous film of encrustation.
