Description
Low arching, thin tile. Lateral margin is beveled to angular and almost hooked inward; end margin is vertical and raised slightly into ridge on top edge. Two grooves made by finger along lateral and end margins on top.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Orange red. Soft, medium coarse, consistently fired fabric with frequent, very small, subangular black (carbon?) and few very small white inclusions; uncommon spherical to subangular voids. Thin, dull, uneven slip on exterior slightly darker than fabric. Slight scoring on interior. Same as KTH2496 and KTH2505.
Preservation comment
One small fragment preserves part of tile with two finished edges. Slight, sparse abrasion; slight film of encrustation. Black discoloration in patches near edge on exterior and across interior from scorching.
