Local Type 1.
Description
Round pipe with turning marks on interior and exterior. Body tapers slightly toward middle; shoulder slopes down from sharp turn at shoulder. Extensive white, fine, hard plaster applied around base of neck for attachment to adjacent pipe. Wheelmade. Turning marks on interior and exterior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Near standard Argolid LRA2 fabric; fewer inclusions other than the usual rounded lime. Cf. KTH2252.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves roughly one third of one end of pipe. Does not joint with other sherds of same type. Slight to moderate, extensive encrustation.
