Typological identification
Early Roman Corinthian Lamp, copy/imitation Italian
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Somewhat soft, very fine, reddish yellow fabric, consistently fired with smooth break; very rare, small, poorly sorted, subrounded white (calcareous) particles and very rare black bits. Thin, uneven to mottled, dull slip on both inside and outside surfaces, orangish red to purple in places, peeling in small patches. Early Roman Corinthian fine fabric (cf. KTH0974).
Preservation comment
One small fragment from upper wall to shoulder. Slight to moderate, somewhat extensive abrasion; worn breaks; frequent specks to small patches of encrustation on all surfaces.
