Aegean or Phocaean mug.
Description
Convex body.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Reddish brown fabric, fired grayish on exterior. Hard, fine fabric. Rare, very small, poorly sorted white bits (calcareous); traces of silvery mica. Material typical for ware. Thin, white, matte slip painted in broad horizontal brushstroke across exterior.
Preservation comment
One small body sherd. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and minor pitting; worn breaks; small, thin patches of encrustation.
