Description
Jar. Heavy, plain, flat base with sharp transition to wall. Underside is unsmoothed and so retains impression of wheel or surface on which it rested before firing.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale yellowish brown; coarse, somewhat soft fabric; frequent medium to very small dark subrounded inclusions, and also tiny dark bits. Surface with unsmoothed wash, more pale than fabric. Regional.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 25% of base and lowermost part of body. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion; worn breaks; thin, faint encrustation.
