Description
Echinus bowl. Flaring, convex wall rising to sharply inturned rim with simple, rounded lip. Black glaze on exterior, red on interior; reserved line on lip. Fabric and decoration suggest non-Attic import. Late Classical-Early Hellenistic.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine, moderately soft clay with very few tiny voids and inclusions. Fleeting, thin, dull black glaze.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves small part of rim and upper wall. Slight, extensive abrasion and pitting; slight, somewhat extensive film of encrustation.
