Description
Shallow bowl. Sharply curved wall. Downturned, overhanging rim with vertical flange on outer edge; somewhat pointed, inwardly turned lip. Slipped on interior and over rim; plain below rim on extant exterior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 2.5YR 6/8, light red. Slip: 7.5R 5/8 and 4/6, red. Very fine fabric, consistently fired; rare, tiny, light inclusions; faintly micaceous. Thin, semimatte slip on interior surface, thicker where sharply articulated and in streaks on rim. Fine brushmarks in slip on interior.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves one quarter of rim and small part of upper wall. Slight, somewhat sparse abrasion and chipping around clean breaks; sparse patches of encrustation.
