- Description
- Shallow bowl. Sharply curved wall. Downturned, overhanging rim with vertical flange on outer edge; somewhat pointed, inwardly turned lip. Slipped on interior and over rim; plain below rim on extant exterior.
- Fabric, firing, and surface description
- Fabric: 2.5YR 6/8, light red. Slip: 7.5R 5/8 and 4/6, red. Very fine fabric, consistently fired; rare, tiny, light inclusions; faintly micaceous. Thin, semimatte slip on interior surface, thicker where sharply articulated and in streaks on rim. Fine brushmarks in slip on interior.
- Preservation comment
- One sherd preserves one quarter of rim and small part of upper wall. Slight, somewhat sparse abrasion and chipping around clean breaks; sparse patches of encrustation.
