Description
Low arching, thin tile. Lateral margin is beveled to angular and almost hooked inward.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Orange red. Soft, medium coarse, consistently fired fabric with frequent, very small, subangular white and black inclusions; uncommon spherical to subangular voids. Thin, dull, uneven slip on exterior slightly darker than fabric. Deep longitudinal grooves by finger on interior; slight scoring on exterior. Same as KTH2496.
Preservation comment
One small fragment preserves part of tile with one finished edge. Slight, sparse abrasion; extensive film of encrustation; slight, extensive black discoloration: scorching?
