- Rooftile
- Description
- Large Laconian rooftile, probably regional manufacture. Slightly inward sloping outer margin; widens slightly away from margin. Light cross-scoring on interior and longitudinal grooves(?) on exterior.
- Fabric, firing, and surface description
- Buff with a reddish tinge. Hard, fine fabric with rare, very small, subrounded black and white inclusions (regional). Thin, matte, even wash same color as fabric.
- Preservation comment
- One fragment preserves large partion of tile with two finished edges. Slight chipping around edges and slight, sparse pitting and gouging on exterior surface; slight, extensive encrustation and traces of mortar.
