Round-mouthed pitcher or amphora. Mouth flares out with slight inflection to simple rounded to slightly angular lip. Black glaze on lower part of exterior; upper band at rim and interior reserved. Non-Attic import. Classical-Hellenistic.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine, moderately soft clay with some tiny voids rare, small to medium, subrounded, white inclusions. Thin, even, dull black glaze.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 20% of rim of upper neck. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion and scratching with chipping along edges; worn breaks; sparse specks to patches of encrustation.
