- Description
- Knob of a pyxis lid or similar. Projecting rim of knob has flat upper surface and sloping side, attached to trace of neck. Black glaze on outside of knob; trace of concentric band on upper surface. Archaic.
- Fabric, firing, and surface description
- Fine, reddish buff, moderately hard clay with some tiny voids and few inclusions. Thin, dull, very fugitive to flaky black glaze.
- Preservation comment
- One small sherd from lid(?). Severe, extensive abrasion and chipping on all surfaces; specks of encrustation.
