Moldmade bowl. Thickened, projecting rim has concentric groove along upper surface near inner edge, then rises to outer edge of rim. Exterior is molded with two slightly convex horizontal bands meeting at ridge; thin horizontal relief line below. Black glaze over all. Hellenistic.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine, hard, gritty clay with numerous tiny voids and uncommon, small, subangular, black inclusions. Thin, uneven, dull black glaze, very flakey especially on exterior.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves <10% of rim and upper wall. Slight, extensive abrasion and pitting; worn breaks; thin specks to patches of encrustations.
