Thickened, everted rim with faint groove on outside face, drooping lower edge and tapering upper lip, and slight offset on inside face. Horizontal lug handle, circular in section, attached above against face of rim and below against concavity/carination.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Core: 2.5YR 6/8. Thin surface: 7.5YR 6/4. Medium coarse fabric, hackly break, has frequent, tiny to small, poorly sorted, subangular white (lime), black, bluish gray (chert?), and orangish red powdery bits (grog?); rare, large, angular, white and dark inclusions, some spalling. Thin, even wash barely darker than fabric, smoothed on exterior. Corinthian cooking fabric.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 8% of rim with part of one handle and small part of upper wall. Moderate, extensive abrasion, pitting, and chipping especially around edges; work breaks; few specks of encrustation.
