Description
Molded kantharos or cup-kantharos. Attic? Rim thickened on outer face with sharp lip. Dripped glaze along inside of rim. Classical.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine, moderately soft clay with very few inclusions. Somewhat thick, semilustrous glaze fired to reddish brown with some darker areas.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 10-15% of rim and upper neck. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion and pitting with slight chipping; worn breaks; scattered specks to patches of encrustation.
