Description
Shallow plate with small ring foot, convex to truncoconical bottom, and vertical rim, sometimes slightly inturned and marked below with slight or blunt flange. Floor usually unadorned. Latest evolution of shallow plates represented by Zhuravlev Forms 1-3. Zhuravlev separates the common shallow plate in Pontic Sigillata (=Hayes Form 1) into several morphologically distinct types, including his Forms 4.1 and the latest 4.2.
