Bright to creamy white, fine, calcite marble with visible crystalline structure. Pentelic.

Description
Piece from left side of slab with sculpted decoration. Along left front edge is raised band sloping inward (p.W. 0.032; D. 0.009) that framed stone. Band exhibits thin scoring from toothed chisel. Traces of finishing groove are visible just inside band. In flat interior near right edge is curving form in low relief, probably a sharp-edged leaf with traces of a groove indicating vein. Full design is uncertain. Carving is even and sharp. Stone’s back is irregularly cut and shows no mortar.
Preservation description
One fragment preserves one face and one edge. Moderate, sparse chipping along edges; slight, sparse encrustation.
