Description
Corinthian pan tile with a triangular lip that is somewhat flat on top. Coated with yellow slip on top surface and edge to create a clean, uniform appearance; bottom surface is unfinished.
Fabric, firing, surface
10YR 8/2, very pale brown. Slip: 10YR 8/4, very pale brown. Medium coarse, dense, somewhat hard clay with rare, small, subangular to angular, red and brown to black inclusions. Very thin, even, matte slip, widely preserved. Local product? sim. KA043.
Preservation description
One small fragment broken on two sides preserves front, back, and one side. Slight scoring and gouging; slight to moderate, sparse patches of encrustation. Slight black discoloration (organic staining?) on one corner.
