Description
Circular, slightly concave discus has figural relief and two flat framing rings. Relief depicts female head with dense, bushy coiffure and distinct braided knot over forehead, all schematic. Goddess with double ax type. Slightly sloping, plain(?) shoulder.
Fabric, firing, surface
Material typical for ware. Fabric: 2.5YR 6/8, light red. Slip: 10R 5/8, red. Thin, dull slip preserved in grooves.
Preservation description
One small fragment preserves ca. 33% of discus and small part of rim. Faint abrasion and rare chipping; worn breaks; slight, extensive encrustation.
