Description
Oval to almond-shaped body. Circular, shallow discus has central filling hole with rim, small hole lower left, rosette with 16(?) concave, pointed petals, airhole at bottom, and narrow, rounded framing ring. Sloping shoulder has herringbone in low relief. Rounded nozzle framed by single angled grooves has narrow channel to wickhole flanked by single circles; traces of burning.
Fabric, firing, surface
Typical fabric, firing, and surface treatment for ware. 2.5YR 6/6, light red. Somewhat hard, somewhat gritty fabric. Unglazed.
Preservation description
One fragment preserves ca. 25% of discus and shoulder and small part of nozzle. Slight, extensive abrasion; somewhat worn breaks; thick patches of encrustation.
