Description
Oval to almond-shaped body. Circular, shallow discus has central filling hole with rim, small hole lower left, rosette with 16(?) concave, pointed petals, airhole at bottom, and narrow, rounded framing ring. Sloping shoulder has herringbone in low relief. Rounded nozzle framed by single angled grooves has narrow channel to wickhole flanked by single circles; traces of burning.
Fabric, firing, surface
2.5YR 6/6, light red. Somewhat hard, somewhat gritty fabric. Unglazed. Sparse, large clay nodules.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves roughly one-quarter of discus and shoulder and small part of nozzle. Sparse encrustation.
