Description
Unfired American bullet with bottleneck shape. Flat base has headstamp: WRA 1943 | 303. .303 caliber bullet manufactured in 1943 by Winchester Repeating Arms in Bridgeport, Connecticut. In the late stages of World War II, Allied British operations in Greece were forcing the Wehrmacht to retreat northward. WRA provided ordnance to British military on contract at the time.
Preservation description
Intact. Very slight, sparse abrasion; very slight, very sparse encrustation.
