Description
Shallow platter or table top. Flat base and wall sloping gently upward to broadly thickened rim and thin, rounded lip. Incised line between base and exterior wall; raised band (W. 0.011) between floor and base of rim; incised line between base of rim and rim proper. Rim preserves both straight and curved portions with uneven contours. Surviving portion does not seem to exhibit distinctive polylobate or semicircular form of a “sigma table” per se. Straight sides that curved slightly, perhaps tapering into corners.
Preservation comment
Three joining fragments broken on all sides preserve rim. Slight, sparse abrasion and pitting; very slight, sparse encrustation.
