Description
Plate with vertical rim. Very shallow ring foot. Steeply angled flaring wall. Prominent carination with groove just below. Thick, even, lustrous slip preserved on interior, exterior, and resting surface.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 2.5YR 6/6, light red. Slip: 2.5YR 5/8, red. Material typical for ware.
Preservation description
One large fragment preserves <25% of foot, wall, carination, and lower rim. Extensive abrasion; slight, sparse encrustation.
