Description
Bowl. Slight, angular ring foot. Steep convex wall rises to thin, projecting rim. Glazed overall. Concentric incised grooves on floor; single incised groove on upper surface of rim near interior.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 10YR 6/3, pale brown. Slip: Gley 1 2.5/3N, very dark gray. Hard, very fine fabric with rare, very small, golden mica flecks and subangular black bits. Somewhat thick, dull to semilustrous slip, worn in many places. Imported fine gray ware, probably Campanian.

Explanation of deposition
Residual in Byzantine-Modern colluvium and topsoil on central ridge. Possibly used in Early-Middle Roman funerary ritual (as antique?) at Building C1.
