Description
Concentric-semicircle (“shield”) bowl with molded decoration in relief. Slipped all over. Vertical, rounded rim. In exterior rim zone, a single row of bosses between double lines above and single line below.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 5Y 7/4, pink. Slip: 5YR 3/2, dark reddish brown. Somewhat hard, very fine fabric with uncommon, small, white (calcareous) and tiny black inclusions. Thin, even, semilustrous slip preserved in large patches. Corinthian.
Preservation description
One small fragment preserves small part of rim and upper body. Heavy abrasion and slight gouging; worn breaks; thin, extensive encrustation.
