Description
Flat base; rough groove just above articulation of base and exterior wall. Slightly concave wall. Outwardly thickened knob rim. Short, twisted, tubular handle socket with wide, sharp rim at end.
Fabric, firing, surface
2.5YR 6/6, light red. Hard, gritty fabric with common mica and common, poorly sorted, angular to subangular, white inclusions. Imported.
Preservation description
Five joining fragments preserve >75% of body and entire handle. Slight chipping; slight, sparse encrustation or plaster covers surface and breaks. Secondary scorching on interior and exterior.
