Description
Container for personal effects (e.g., cosmetics, perfumes, jewelry): cf. pyxis. Tall, cylindrical tube. Exterior wall recessed at top for attachment of ring-collar; interior wall recessed slightly at bottom for attached or disc-base. Body turned to create annular molding: double beads at top; double tori just above middle; and two sets of triple-grooves to create low double beads near bottom.
Preservation description
One half is mostly intact but broken slightly around thinner top. Moderate erosion in patches with pitting, several long logitudinal fractures, and slight chipping around edges.
