1960s: rejoining with natural shellac and infilling with white plaster painted pale yellowish brown.
Preservation description
46 joining sherds preserve ca. 60% of amphora with complete shoulder, neck and mouth, and handles but missing lower body and base. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion and slight erosion with scoring and gouging; worn breaks; widespread, faint clouds and streaks of gray discoloration. Weathering consistent with prolonged marine submersion.
