Conservation
1960s: sherds refitted with natural shellac and infilling with white plaster.
Fabric, firing, surface
Very pale buff. Consistently fired; soft, very fine, smooth breaking. Rare, tiny, well sorted, light and dark bits; dense dusting of silvery micaceous sparkles. Imported.
Preservation description
21 small joining sherds preserve ca. 40% of vessel, including entire base, ca. 30% of rim, and most of one handle. Extensive, slight to modern abrasion and frequent scoring; worn breaks; scattered specks to small patches of encrustation.
