1960s: refitted with natural shellac.
Description
Wide body with rounded shoulder. Tall, narrow, cylindrical neck, sharply constricted below flaring rim with rounded lip. Sharp grooves at and just below constriction. Ridged strap handle, arching, attaches to neck just below at constriction.
Fabric, firing, surface
Pale yellowish brown fabric, consistently fired. Hard, fine fabric; smooth break. Very rare, poorly sorted, tiny lime specks and dark (gray?) bits. Unslipped. Regional.
Preservation description
Six joining sherds preserve entire rim and neck, small part of adjacent shoulder, and upper part of one handle. Slight, sparse abrasion and erosion with minor flaking; worn breaks; clouds of orange and gray discoloration.
