Description
Truncoconical neck, relatively thin-walled. Wide, thin strap handle loops outward horizontally.
Fabric, firing, surface
Pale red fired pale brown at very surface; fine, very hard, with smooth to vaguely conchoidal break; rare to uncommon, small, tabular and rarely angular white (calcareous) inclusions and rare, small, irregular, red chunks. Traces of thin whitish slip on uppermost handle. Wet smoothed surface.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds (1673+1652) preserve one complete handle and small part of contiguous neck. Slight chipping around edges; clean breaks; faint clouds of incipient encrustation(?).
