- Description
- Truncoconical neck, relatively thin-walled. Wide, thin strap handle loops outward horizontally.
- Fabric, firing, surface
- Pale red fired pale brown at very surface; fine, very hard, with smooth to vaguely conchoidal break; rare to uncommon, small, tabular and rarely angular white (calcareous) inclusions and rare, small, irregular, red chunks. Traces of thin whitish slip on uppermost handle. Wet smoothed surface.
- Preservation comment
- Two joining sherds (1673+1652) preserve one complete handle and small part of contiguous neck. Slight chipping around edges; clean breaks; faint clouds of incipient encrustation(?).
