Fabric, firing, surface
Pale brownish yellow with faint, slightly pink core at thickest parts of neck. Very hard and dense, somewhat fine; moderately smooth break. Frequent, small, rounded, tabular, white particles, occasional larger and chalky (calcareous?); uncommon, tiny, gray to black bits; rare, small, vegetal voids; all mostly well sorted. Faint traces of very thin white slip. Sim. 1792, 2063. Egyptian: southwest of Delta?
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 20% of rim down to uppermost shoulder. Slight, sparse abrasion and scraping across surface; slightly worn breaks; faint cloud of gray discoloration across surfaces.
