Description
Domed lid. Inverted conical knob handle, marked by two sharp grooves below, and pierced down through the middle.
Fabric, firing, surface
Brownish red fired to gray at surface (1-2 mm); medium coarse, somewhat hard, with granular break and sandy surface texture; abundant, small to medium, subangular and angular, light inclusions (quartzitic sand, white, gray), some elongated; also embedded in surface. Southern Levantine.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves entire handle and small part of body. Somewhat sparse, slight abrasion and gouging around edges; worn breaks; little of no encrustation.
